Suddenly when I use the @mention feature instead of the user's name as a blue hyperlink, I get [~email@email.com] with the users email address and the hyperlink is no longer there.
How can I fix this issue?
What field in jira are you using to mention a user? The description? A comment? Some other text field?
When you create an @mention of a user then Jira tends to be show the display name as a hyperlink, IF your field is a wiki rendered field. If your field is being rendered in default text, you would get the [~actual_username] instead, which could be their email address depending on how the accounts are created in your environment.
I would recommend checking out the documentation on Configuring Renderers in order to check that your fields are using wiki style here.
any field, but we use it most in the comment. And it always worked, until last week.
