Change username on cloud JIRA using api or any other process

Hi,

Changing a username on server JIRA is straightforward. But is there a way to change the username of a user on "cloud JIRA".

We are trying to sync the username of all users on cloud JIRA with the windows username for the users in the company and we see a few mismatches. We want to bulk update the username for all the users with the mismatch, or allow the users themselves to change their usernames on the cloud (if that is possible) to fix the mismatch issue.

Is there any way we can achieve the same ? Any api call that can be used, or any other process for that matter ?

Hi Neha,

Usernames on Jira Cloud will be discontinued and soon all instances will not show usernames anymore.
Also, usernames will be removed from our product API's.
