Hi all,
I'm trying to prevent Jira from changing page when I select a different board. Currently if I'm looking at the backlog for board A then select board B it'll show me the sprint page for board B instead of the backlog. Is there a way to prevent this?
Thanks
Tom
looking into jira.atlassian.com I found something similar, however it speaks about changing projects
On the other side, when visiting the board overview and selecting a board it shows the same behaviour which is suggested in the linked issue to change.
Could you please confirm this is what you are looking for? If no, you still could open an own Suggestion with Atlassian.
Otherwise you could watch & vote the linked issue - likeliness is then higher that the Suggestion will be considered in the future.
Regards,
Daniel
Thanks @Daniel Ebers
I've added a vote and a comment to that suggestion. It a lot like what I want which is to basically maintain the current view (backlog/current sprint/roadmap) when selecting a different board from the drop down within the current project.

Just to clarify do you mean you want it to show the backlog of board B instead of the sprint?
There is no way you can prevent JIRA from not changing to this board when you select it since the id of the board is mapped to the URL.

Yeah so it would work like this:
Board A Sprint -> Select board B -> Board B Sprint
Board A Backlog - Select board B -> Board B Backlog (currently defaults to sprint)

Thanks for the clarification Tom.
It seems that the sprint page is the default page when one selects a scrum board. For the behaviour you described, please check if a similar feature request has been raised on jira.atlassian.com and if not, please raise it.
