I need to change the cloud instance name from <myname>.atlassian.net to <mycompanyname>.atlassian.net.
Is this possible for me as an administrator of that instance?

Atlasian Team recently released the first iteration of being able to rename your cloud site. To see if you qualify, start by contacting support.
