Changing the width of Custom Field

I have 15 custom fields added as radio buttons for a Review Checklist.

The custom field reads "Is it verified that the tasks do not directly execute code nor access data that belongs to a different task?" for example. The custom field on the View Issue Screen appears as below.

I would like to increase the width of the custom field. I tried Workaround 2 from the below link:

By changing the customfield ID to my customfield ID and pasting in Description field of the custom field Edit page.

But jira just hangs. I tried some other script from other resolutions provided too but none seems to be working. 

Please advise. What am I doing wrong?

I saw that the documentation is not updated since 2016, so I would like to ask you to try the steps provided on a community thread from last year:
- How to change the width of the custom field in JIRA?
