Check Boxes in JIRA Cloud

We have a need to put check boxes into our Description field and/or in the comments.  There's a plugin for the server version but we haven't seen anything for the Cloud.  Is there some kind of work around I can use now (aside from subtasks)?

I don't think there is anything you can do on the cloud version for this. Just to make sure I am reading the requirement correctly, what plugin supports it in the server version?
