Hi,
We have a requirement that we need to add a condition to parent ticket that when their child tasks are completed. for example we have a task and under task we have multiple subtasks. we have communicated to users that close parent only when you have closed all subtasks. But still developers are closing parent task issues without considering subtasks status. now i want to add a condition there that when assignee is closing a parent task if subtasks are not closed he should get a error message or he should not able to close the parent task.
FYI : we are using team Managed Project.
Hi @sai chinamuthevi ,
Welcome to community :)
You may try below for your team managed project
Thank you,
Prachi
this will work in a way that when subtasks status is Done, it will make Parent issue status to Done. but my requirement is to block parent issue closing if subtasks are not closed

Please follow below:
1. Edit Parent Issue type assigned workflow, edit the closing transition, add a new condition:
2. Select the required workflow status. Save and publish the workflow.
Hope this helps!
Kind Regards

Hi Utkarsh,
We don't have these options for Team Managed Project. I know we can do this for company Managed Projects from conditions but I'm not able to do this for Team Managed. I mentioned same in Ticket.

Thank you for pointing that out! You’re absolutely correct—Team-Managed Projects don’t support conditions or advanced workflow customizations like those in Company-Managed Projects.
Unfortunately, this means the feature isn’t available natively for Team-Managed Projects. If this functionality is critical, you could consider migrating your project to a Company-Managed setup or exploring alternative approaches, such as using automation rules to mimic similar behavior (though it might not fully replicate the condition functionality).
