Close sprint and move all uncompleted issues to next sprint - order logic ?

Hi ,

Upon sprint closure and selecting to move all uncompleted stories .

What is the logic for ordering the issues which moved between sprints in the new sprint BKL.

Example (to be sure above is clear) - On sprint AA - I have 3 stories which we didn`t complete --> we closed sprint and set to move all uncompleted stories to Sprint AA+1 .

Now what will be the order ? originally I thought that issues from previous sprint will move to the top of the new sprint but it wasn`t the case

Please advise

The issues all retain their global rank.  If they were ranked below issues that you've moved into the new sprint before closing the old one, then you'll find they come in lower than those.

Not sur this answer is still valid... or do not understand.

We only used "Backlog order" ( all stories have the same priority).

We have some sprint created meaning current is N, we have created the sprint N+1.

We closing N => move not done story into N+1

Opening N+1

Then in new Current sprint (previous N+1),  some stories remaining from N are top of board, some other in middle or at the bottom.

We would like to have all stories on top...
