Cloud to Cloud migration - Github links

We are doing a Cloud to Cloud migration.  Both Source and Target use Github.

What do I need to do in this migration to make sure the Github links will behave the same on target instance as on source after migration?  I have reached out to support on both sides and each direct me to the other.

Hi @Katherine Lord ,

It maybe the same logic as from on-prem to cloud. You'll need to re-establish the links if it's not the same GitHub for both. If they are the same GitHub, then there isn't much to do as long as the Issue IDs remains the same. If for any reason, the Issue IDs are different on the destination post-migration, then the code that's pointing to a specific work Item ID would be broken and need to be updated. 

As always test the cloud migration first with a sandbox at the destination to make sure there's no bugs or no unknown surprises
