Column mapping from JIRA Agile(Greenhopper) and JIRA REST API's

freddie.burgess March 5, 2021

Questions:

  • Are there additional columns introduced/created using the JIRA Agile plug-in, that are not accessible via your JIRA REST API?
  • if so, can column additions to the schema be created with admin access (i.e. similar to Custom columns)?
  • if so, do these additional columns contain access controls (i.e. password protected, etc.)?

Thanks

  • All Jira Software fields are available via the REST API
  • If you mean database schema, no, you cannot get anywhere the database on Cloud.  You can add whatever custom fields you'd like though
  • Jira fields do not have access control, barring a couple which have some permission control (reporter, assignee and due-date for example, probably make up the bulk of fields that you need explicit permissions to set.  None have limited visibility)
