I have a board in Jira with a project filter applied. I can see all the tasks from the projects in the sprint. However, it’s not possible to view the tasks that are not in the "To Do" or "Done" columns — the statuses "In Progress" and "Adjustments" do not appear.

The message appears: "This task cannot be moved to this column due to workflow settings or permissions."

How can I solve this?

Hi @Tayna Vicente Ferreira and welcome to Atlassian Community!

There are a few potential causes for this, so you may want to try all of the below:

1. Go to Board Settings, then Workflows. Ensure all columns are mapped to at least one of your workflow statuses, and specifically that "In Progress" and "Adjustments" are mapped to columns.

2. Go to Project Settings, and then Workflows and check "In Progress" and "Adjustments" stages for any conditions that might restrict access/visibility (for example, conditions like jira.permission.transition)

3. This might sound obvious, but just double check there is nothing in your filter that is excluding those statuses/make sure it includes all your statuses.

Hi @Tayna Vicente Ferreira !

Check and Fix Status Visibility on the Board

  • Go to your board.
  • In the top-right corner, select the three dots (•••) > Board settings.
  • On the left sidebar, select Columns (under Layout).
  • Look for the Unmapped statuses panel on the right side. If "In Progress" and "Adjustments" are listed there, drag and drop them into an existing column (e.g., create a new "In Progress" column if needed).
  • To add a new column:
    • Select the + icon to the right of the existing columns.
    • Enter a name (e.g., "In Progress"), choose a category (like "In Progress" for blue statuses), and select Add column.
    • If your project uses the simplified workflow (common in team-managed projects), a matching status will be created automatically.
  • Save your changes and refresh the board. Issues in those statuses should now appear.

Also, check your filter for this board. Are all of your tickets included?
