Comment sorting in the NEW Jira View

With the new Jira view out just yesterday (at least for our company), the comments are in ascending order. I no longer see the option to change the sorting, does anyone know if this is still possible and where to go to change it to descending?

Good Morning Dario,

I have to say this not being a feature available out of the gate is truly baffling. I know things are quite often not as easy as they seem but a simple ASC or DESC option on a query seems quite trivial and it appears users have been asking for this for quite some time.

That combined with the fact that the old view has this option and sorting in ascending order provides a bad UX results in this answer being really confusing.

Can you share any insights on why this is not available or what the delay may be in implementing this?

I don't know the details behind this decision. I am getting in touch with the team that is building the new UI and I should be able to get back to you on this (or to have someone from that team to do so) in the next days.

At this current point in time there is no possibility to sort activities in the new issue view and therefore we have the below feature request open in our system to have this functionality implemented:

• JRACLOUD-70144: Ability to sort activities when using the new issue view

As a workaround you can switch back to the old view.

Also, you may want to vote for this request and set yourself as a watcher so that you will get notified by email in case of any update. This feature will be addressed according to the Atlassian Cloud  new features policy.
