Hi
I've edited the JQL of the BOARD so that it only shows the Epics as per this article https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Can-I-Display-Epics-on-the-Scrum-Board-in-place-of-Stories/qaq-p/679705 however, I wanted to still see the stories etc. in the Roadmap. It seems both are linked to the same filter.
Is it possible to alter the settings so the roadmap shows Epic and its children and the board just shows the Epics?
I'm not quite sure why you would want to show a scrum board with only Epics? Epics are not physically delivered in Sprints. Only Stories, Tasks, Bugs, etc are.
If you need to have a board to just track Epics, I would create a Kanban board and use the same filter you just updated to only show Epics. I would then have a traditional scrum board that shows everything. The traditional board is what I would use to view the roadmap and any additional reports you want to run.
Apologies @Josh Costella , I confused things by referencing the link that helped me figure out the filter.
I have a Kanban Board, using that filter to show Epics.
I want the Roadmap linked to that Kanban Board to show the stories etc. too. Am I able to make this roadmap do this or do I need to make a separate one somehow?
Sorry if this sounds a stupid question, but we've traditionally used Team projects where this was just a change of filter/view using the board front end and very quick and easy to do. We are going to start using Company Managed so we can heatmap different timelines.
