Compare field in a workflow transition

How I would a write a script in ScriptRunner that compares 2 custom fields and if the values in the fields are the same the transition from one status to the next is not allowed but if the value in the fields are different then the transition is allowed? This would be a condition in a workflow transition.

What are the types of these 2 custom fields?

What have you tried already?

They are pick list fields with 2 options. Pass or Fail. 

I tried conditions on the transitions and automation but no luck. 

I never used script runner so no idea how I would do it.
