Planning a migration to latest version of JIRA faced us with several issues:
- Plugin no longer avaialable, but alternatives exist
- workflow definition differs
Using the Import funtionality all "included" plugins (part of JIRA installation) and their definition within workflows are migrated automatically. But in case you used a 3rd party plugin that is no longer supported for new versions of JIRA it's getting worse.
Is there a possibility to evaluate the compatibility of workflows with a new version of JIRA? At the moment it looks like we have to have a look on all our workflows to identify the issues manually (workflow definition looks "strange").
We have to migrate from a 4.0.x version...
I think that https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.plugins.jira-workflow-sharing-plugin solves this.
