Component depends upon the issue type

Hi friends,

I performed the following combination of configuration in jira like different issue type with different screen and different workflow in same project. But i need to do this possibility like different issue type with different components. It is possible to configure that one.

Components are project level it is not possible to configure issue type leve!!

Currently you can't do this.

An option probably is to add workflow validator which will validate the issue type against component and will not allow creating issues of some type in wrong component.

No. Component values are determined by the project.

If you need different ones by issue type, then use a custom field with different contexts (multi select list)
