Conditions on custom Jira reports

Hello.
I created a Jira report as described here but I'd like to add a condition to show the availability of the report only to some kind of users. How could I do this ? At the moment I have just put the logic of the permissions in the validate() method of the Report class, but in this way the icon of the report is visible to all the users. I just wanted to use something working like the clause <condition> for web-items.

You can override the showReport() method.
