I tried assisting my colleague in uploading his CSV and now I'm getting the same time out error he received, "Configuration information for the importer has been lost (probably due to session timeout). Please restart the import wizard." when I click Validate before I proceed with upload. Restarting the import wizard doesn't work. I need help clearing whatever it is that is stuck in the back end so I can resume uploading bulk CSV.
Did anyone of you try to re-map from scratch, instead of re-using the configuration file to load the config mappings?
For me, that was the solution. You can also try to re-use your config file, but make sure to clear the ID in the field:
"config.file.id" : "7d8766db-4be6-4c90-8c87-5d34fcb09c79"
Make sure the ID is empty, so Jira will not try to load it again from a previous session, which is what I think is causing the problem and error.
I'm having the same issue now, anyone ever find a solution to this?

I'm getting this error as well after clearing the cache: "Configuration information for the importer has been lost (probably due to session timeout). Please restart the import wizard." What are the steps to clear the previous import data and start fresh? Thanks, Cecilia |

I'm having the same issue. My file is 689kb but just prior I tried uploading a file that was inadvertently too large (before I did this I had uploaded around 1800 tickets. Initially I got stuck 1% at the validation step so I cleared my cache and then this problem occurred.
Cheers,
Anne

Hi Robert,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
How large is the CSV file you are importing?
Also, what are you importing? Issues from another ticket system or project configuration?

I am having the same issue. Regardless I try different size files. I am importing some texts which explains some user stories and acceptance criterial. I managed to import good number of them, but got stuck with this error all of a sudden. Could someone help please?
