Configuring JIRA Cloud to send emails - FQDN Sintax error

Hi I can't add CNAME records as the documentation indicates in my CPANEL.

When I add a record as the documentation indicates:
     Content = s1._domainkey.atlassian.net

I receive following error:

"Invalid DNS Record: CNAMEs must point a FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name)"

Cpanel only leave me add like this one:
Name: s1._domainkey.[my domain]
Type: CNAME
Content: s1.atlassian.net

or like this one:

Name: s1._domainkey.[my domain]
Type: CNAME
Content: s1.[my domain].atlassian.net

But those values doesn't work, I used your validator: https://domain-check.atlassian.io/

I contacted my Hosting provider to ask for he change manually to the "right" value but he told me this:

It is not possible to set these records.

As the error is reporting the record value should be Fully Qualified Domain Name.

My recommendation is that you create a ticket with the Cloud Support team and include there your domain name and DNS provider, and we can look into this for you.

The format provided seems correct, so we have to look into the next steps to do with your DNS provider.

Hi Julio,

I checked with the Cloud team and they stated you should be able to point the CNAME records to s1._domainkey.atlassian.net. and s2._domainkey.atlassian.net.

Make sure to keep the period at the end and you should be set!

Hi, according to RFC 1035 (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1035):

The labels must follow the rules for ARPANET host names.  They must start with a letter, end with a letter or digit, and have as interior characters only letters, digits, and hyphen.  There are also some restrictions on the length.  Labels must be 63 characters or less.

It is a mistake use a under score at the second label's beginning: s2._domainkey.atlassian.net.
