Can you add GitHub to Jira for a certain project?
Our Jira instance has multiple projects (each with their own GitHub). Is there a way to connect to multiple repositories (on separate accounts) and assign those to a certain project within Jira?
All in instance X:
Project A -> Project A GitHub
Project B -> Project B GitHub
...
Welcome to the community.
To my understanding the way that the github integration works is that you need to put the ticket number in your pull requests in the respective repo in order to create the connection between the PR and the specific ticket. This allows the flexibility to tie either one repo to one project, or one repo to multiple projects.
I hope that helps.
Edit: There are details below this section "Example of how commit information appears in a Jira Software project" on the following page that can provide more info on how the integration updating works.
