Right now we're running our JIRA instance in-house and are looking into either running it a co-lo/AWS instance or using Atlassian's OnDemand solution. For the latter, is there anyway to get console access to the host? Or is it running in some type of container/walled garden that only allows for HTTP access? We currently have some low-usage scripts/tasks that run on the server that I guess would need to get moved.
On similar note, does the JJupin plugin work on OnDemand? Their marketplace listing doesn't make that clear. We have a scores of SIL scripts that we currently use. Thanks!
No, you will have no command line (or web, or database) access to Atlassian Cloud. It gives you access to JIRA (and the rest) as web applications, and nothing more.
JJupin is not available for Cloud.
JJUPIN is not yet available to the cloud. Atlassian is, however, very convincing, and pushes us towards a cloud solution. We have developed some mock to see if JJUPIN can be moved to cloud preserving both the flexibility and performance and I believe we can do something about it.
Anyway, such a solution will take some time to implement.
