Controlling Assignee field

Hi,

Is there any method basis which we can control the list of assignee's shown in the assignee list?

Currently, in my workflow, irrespective of statuses I can see people in my team are assignee it to anyone because they are a user on the Jira site.

This is breaking a set process.

Hi @Mayur Gaikwad/Tech PMO

If this is a Company-managed Project - you can limit this through Project Permissions.

One of the Issue Permissions is Assignable User - by editing this permission, you can limit who can be an Assignee - for example based on a Group, or Project Role, etc.

---

On Team-managed Projects it's a little different. The Assignable User permission does not exist - instead:

What about the “assignable user” permission?

In company-managed software projects, Jira admins can control who can be assigned an issue using permission schemes. In team-managed projects, we’ve simplified our permissions sets. If you grant a role any of the permissions that appear under the Work on project issues set, anyone with that role can be assigned issues in the project.

So it's not quite as customisable. See more details on this help page.
