Convert Radio Button field type to Drop down field type

please help :

I currently have a custom field on Epic level , called" business focus" it is a radio button field type.

Can i change the field type to Drop down , without losing existing data ?

Please provide detailed steps of how to do this?

Hi @Jagriti 

Jira won't allow direct conversion of field types.

In this case please create a new field of type select list with same options in the drop-down and then do a bulk edit to update the field values.

You could simply create a separate filter for each radio option and then do a bulk edit to update the new field with same option or do a csv import to update new drop down field.

Also, don't forget to update your filters with new field name/id
