Convert sub-tasks to tasks and maintaining link

I want to change several sub-tasks to tasks but maintain their parents i.e. continue to have some kind of link between the 2 tickets. Is it possible to do this in bulk?

e.g. I have 150 sub-tasks each of which are linked to several epics. I want to convert these sub-tasks to tasks but maintain the link to the epics.

No, the conversion process just changes the issue type.  You'll need to link the issues manually (or with a scripting add-on)
