Converting ticket from sub-task to task removes it from the sprint

Hello. We have the below scenario that I could do with some advice on.

1. Tickets are assigned to a sprint (e.g Sprint 1)
2. Sprint 1 starts
3. A sub-task tickets gets converted to a Task
4. Sprint field on ticket states Task is part of Sprint 1
5. Burn up / Burndown chart says that tickets was added and then removed from Sprint 1
6. History tab on Task ticket says that it was Sprint 1 -> None

It looks like converting the ticket removes the ticket from the sprint, but the Sprint field on the ticket still has it as part of Sprint 1.

Can anyone advise on what to do here?

Looks like the second one in the list matches what we're experiencing. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
