Converting user account from local to LDAP

Hello community!

I have an old user that is a local Jira account and I would like to use this account with LDAP. Is there a way I can modify this account so that authentication goes through LDAP instead of local authentication? 

Normally I'd just delete and recreate the account, but this account has a ton of specific access privileges, and I'd much rather see if I could simply change something with the account instead.
