Copy Custom field to a linked issue

I have a custom field "Sponsor" on an Initiative .

Is it possible to copy the custom field sponsor to all Epics linked to the initiative?

When you say 'copy the field' do you mean the value of the field? would you also be looking to keep it in sync if the value changed? 🤔interesting problem

Yes thats correct I meant value of the field. Yes value should be in sync based on the parent.

Example 

I have an Initiative with field "Sponsor". The initiative is linked to three EPICS which also has the field Sponsor. I would like the field "Sponsor" of the linked issues to  be in snyc with the parent.

I can't think of a way of doing with the any out of the box feature, but you might be able to pull this off with a script (ScriptRunner) listening for updates to the initiative
