Hello Team,
Is there a way where we can copy all the filters in a project to another project? While copying, the query should be updated with the new project reference if there are any?
I tried Script-runner copy filters option, looks like we need to update each filter after the copy process.
Could you please help me here?
Thanks,
Poojaa
Filters don't belong to projects so the question does not make sense. (Think of it this way - if you deleted every project, every saved filter you have would still be there. Looking for issues that are not there, yes, but they would still exist)
Could you explain what you mean, bearing that in mind?
Thanks @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- ,
The requirement is, we are defining standard set of boards, and dashboards for all projects that uses our Jira instance. These dashboard contain basic gadgets which will be used by the projects frequently. They'll be able to create their own gadgets and dashboards as well if required.
The boards and dashboard have few filters associated with it and for every project created, we need to create new set of filters with the project's key.
Manually copying a filter and changing the project key becomes an overhead and there is possibility of human error as well.
Thanks

You'll have to write scripts that can work out what filters you need and create them. SR canned scripts can't know what you're intending.

Hi Nic,
Still knowing the original filter/Query will help to change the project in between and retain the efficacy of the dashboard.
I want to retain the form, and nature of the dashboard yet in a different project.
Can you kindly suggest how?
