Copy group members to custom Field

Hello, 

I have a dynamic group (with many users), which have to approve an issue. 

Is there a way to copy all users from a group to a custom field? Or set a group as approval?

What is the purpose of having all of the approvers (or a group) in the custom field?

What specific steps does a user take to approve the issue?
