Copy issues from Kanban Board to Scrum Board

g.nadareishvili@novatech.ge June 17, 2019

Hi,

So I just got handed new projects in Jira. The boards are created in Kanban and I of course want Scrum.
I already know there is no possibility to change the type of the existing board so I have to create a new board.

Is there a possibility to copy all the issues in one board (kanban) to another new board (scrum)? so that I dont have to copy them myself one by one.

Thanks

Hello g.nadareishvili@novatech.ge

Boards are just a view on the issues which are being supplied by the underlying JQL filter.

Hence there is no "copy" of issues required. Just create a JQL filter having the issues you want and then create a Scrum Board on top of the JQL filter and that should be it.

Once you start using scrum then you can delete the Kanban boards.

Hi,

Do you really need to copy issues? I believe you can create just new Scrum board for the existing project.
