I'm a newbie. I'm hoping there is a better way to do this without copy/paste, but for now I wonder if I can get information copied from the Details and Development tabs to not paste with an extra line. From Details tab in Jira...

It's probably something with FrameMaker rather than a Jira issue but would like to not have to remove all the extra spaces. I understand the formatting, although it would save time to be able to preserve that, too. If there's an easier way to import information that would be great.

Thanks.

Hi @margaret.wagner welcome to the community.  I did a little test to paste text into a text editor and Word and wasn't able to replicate the behavior you are seeing.

I have seen something similar going the other way, when I'm pasting text from another application into Jira, but haven't been able to narrow down a workflow.

Have you tried pasting the text into another application?  If so, do you see the same behavior?

I took a quick look at Atlassian's Jira Site and didn't see any open issues.  But, I may have missed them.

I copied the text from Edge, have you tried different browsers?

Hope that helps.
