Hi,
I need to create 7-10 identically configured Kanban projects in Jira Service Desk, representing different sites. I have a blueprint project which I want to use as a template. BUT, when reading on how to create a new project using an old one as template, "shared configuration" is always mentioned. I do want separate projects, i.e. , if changing something, I do not necessarily want to affect all of the other projects.
Any thoughts? Best practices?
Thanks, Pontus
Hi Pontus,
You could try use Script Runner for Jira, see documentation (Built-in Scripts - Copy Project).
There is no other way to do this in Jira, it is necessary to use one of the plugins.

I will have a look at ScriptRunner, thanks for the suggestion!

Hello,
You could use an add-on like Configuration Manager or Project Configurator.

Hi,
that is certainly an option, but I doubt I get the funds to purchase one. Is there any alternative way, which no doubt means more manual work...?

You can only move workflows out of the box. And you would need to develop your own solution for other things.
