We are investigating using Jira, and one important use case is automated copying of issues between two instances, for initial creation and also updates as changes are made.
Have seen Jira to Jira Issue Copy, and perhaps another plugin, but they appear to need a human to do some clicking to trigger the remote copy. Also, that one doesn't appear available for our version (Jira v6.3.1).
I would love to avoid significant development or maintenance work on the solution.
Wondering if there is some existing solution we just haven't happened across yet, or if we'd have to build something ourselves.
Thanks in advance!
For the curious - I took a stab at implementing ticket copying/updating via JJupin plugin, and it seems to be a reasonable approach. Solid API, decent documentation, good support, low cost. Haven't yet made a purchase decision, but have been pleased so far with how its shaping up.
Take a look at ConnectAll. We have customers using ConnectAll to sync JIRA to JIRA and also JIRA with other ALM applications. Once set up, sync happens automatically.
