Hi, feel free to link this to a similar post and I can go read there.
I need to know for templatisation sake, is there a way to copy a project and have it clone all the schemes and configurations from the project to a new set of schemes, instead of being mapped to the previous projects schemes?
Example:
I copy Super Cool Neat Projects settings to Probably Cool Project and currently SCNP: Task Worfklow, SCNP: Field Configuration, and SCNP: Story Screen are automatically assigned to the new PCP project.
It'd be helpful if it would copy the schemes, and assign PCP: Task Workflow, etc automatically without me having to go back and manually copy and assign each Workflow, Screen, and scheme manually.
I need native solutions first, no apps or app advertisements. If there is absolutely no native solution, feel free to suggest an app.
Hello @Christopher Brinson
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
There is not a native solution available via the UI. It might be possible to create your own custom solution using the Jira REST API.
Hi @Christopher Brinson and welcome to the community!
There is no native solution within Jira's UI to automatically create new schemes and workflows when copying a project. However, if you're open to using third-party apps, our app Deep Clone for Jira is an excellent option for automating this process. It allows you to clone not only issues but also project configurations, workflows, and schemes efficiently, with our Project Clone feature. In Deep Clone, you can configure which schemes you want to clone and automatically associate with the new project.
