Create Release Notes from Epics complete in a sprint

Just started using next-gen project for software development and testing.  I'm looking for a way to generate release notes.  In our other SW project we use the releases section to create release notes for the users when a version is released. 

In next gen project can you generate release notes from an Epic when done?  

Any tips? thanks in advance for the help

We have recently raised an issue with Atlassian regarding an ability to create release notes for certain version of next-gen Jira project. They created a change request out from my request, here it is: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18674

Hi Ann, NG doesn't yet support versions to the best of my knowledge (I don't use NG really). As such it doesn't have the "Release Notes" capability of Classic. With that said, What you could do is to add a field called maybe "Release version" and use that to enter the releases. Then you could use it in a JQL query to produce the issue completed in the release, e.g. project = my-ng-project and "release version" = 1.2 and status = done.

not sure if that gets you where you want to be or not.
