Create Subtasks

Hello,

When an item transitions from Transition 3 to Transition 4, there should be an automatic subtask sent to a specific supervisor to transfer material. Is that something that can be set up to do automatically?

You can also do this if you have the automation rules add-on for JIRA server.  Please see here for more information about that capability:

Thank you Bill. I have the Lite Version of Jira Automation, which is why I couldn't see this option. I will be looking to do the upgraded version.

Yes, but you will need some App. I have solution for ScriptRunner (screenshots are from old version, but I think it will be still the same).

You can add postfunction

Select postfunction to create sub-task

And write additional actions script for example to automatically assign task to someone

Another option is to write custom App which will do this task, so let me know if you want to do it this way.
