Hi community,
We use jira cloud and we have a limited number of licenses.
I receive a request from a team of my company to have a customfield who is retrieved users from LDAP.
The idea is to have a customfield like a user picker where I can search someone from the lastname and to select it as an information
For example add stakeholders of a project.
Natively, jira doesn't this feature, do you which addons is able to create this type of customfield?
If yes, which addons? and how to do that ?
Thanks a lot
Cedric
Hi @CEDRIC DEVAUX ,
Thanks for the explanation of the Elements Connect :)
I'll clarify a few things. Today we are able to do the features @Huwen Arnone _Deiser_ explained, but only on the On-Premise version of our app. Unfortunately, you have tagged your question in the Cloud department and we are not yet able to connect to LDAP database. In your use case, this is only possible with our server version. We are currently working on the integration of Connect Cloud with Salesforce and REST API but you can find the LDAP integration change request here and vote for it. However, a workaround could be used to sync your data into a database and then use Connect for Cloud.
@CEDRIC DEVAUX, if you are still looking for a solution, you can make an appointment with our product manager and he will explain how to work around this issue. Here is his Calendar.
I hope this answer helps you resolve your issue,
Thank you for your time,
Armand
Hi @CEDRIC DEVAUX, I'm not the most technical person, but the app Elements Connect could probably help you with this. Check this article, and hopefully, it will be right for you.
