Many of the dashboard gadgets have a time component built in so you can maintain a filter that is 'timeless' but set the 'previous days' in the gadget itself. For example Created vs. Resolved gadget you can enter 90d.
Otherwise you will have to define and edit a filter to represent the specific time period which will become a manual chore.
