I am trying to find a way to pull together a list of users by project roles—for example, all users assigned to the Scrum Master project role across all projects.
The goal would be a company-wide list of all the Project Administrators, Scrum Masters, etc.
I have looked at JQL, ScriptRunner, Automation, and the REST API. So far, I can not find a way to extract a list of users by role. Has anyone accomplished this? If so, would you mind sharing how you did it?
It may not even be possible, but I have to believe something this basic has been thought about and solved.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions or guidance you can offer.
hi @donhames , thanks for your question.
I can recommend an application -Project Roles - Groups and Users- in the marketplace for your request. Apart from that, I don't have a solution within my knowledge. Maybe it can be help you.
With this app you can list;
Projects -> Users View
and
Users -> Projects View
@Murat Seven Thank you for your recommendation. Unfortunately, we are in a renewal period with Atlassian, and I cannot change the environment until 12/1. This app sounds like exactly what I need, and if I have not solved this by 12/1, I will download the trial and check it out.
So, until then, I will continue to look for ways to access the data myself using the REST API. I will have to research the API usage and do some experimenting.
If anyone has some scripts that are similar to what I need to do and you are willing to share them, I would be most appreciative. Thanks again, Murat.
