Create epic or version from workflow

Is it possible from a post action to create an epic (the new epic introduced by greenhopper ) or a version to a target project?

target project could be a custom field

Add a post function, use script runner and create the issue. Epic is like any other issue in JIRA.

As far as I am concerned, this is not an available feature in a standard workflow in JIRA that is integrated with GreenHopper. I believe that you might want to develop your own plugin to achieve this. You can also try to consult the Atlassian Experts to seek their advice whether this is somehow achievable or not.
