Hello!
In team managed you can create a ticket from the backlog or sprint list without clicking on the create button on top of the screen. If you are clicked on an assignee it will auto assign to that team member.
In company all tickets from these options go to bottom of backlog unassigned. Is there a way to change the configuration on the admin side so it will allow creations from the backlog or sprints?
This would be a huge timesaver for our teams and I am not seeing the options to configure this.
Thanks,
Krista
Hello @Krista Dyer
When creating a new issue, you can set the Sprint field manually and that issue will be added to the specified sprint. You can also set the Assignee manually at the same time. This assumes that the Sprint and Assignee fields have been added to the Create Issue screen for that issue type in that project.
However adding an issue to an already started sprint should be the exception, not the rule. So adding something to the backlog screen that would automatically add an issue to an active sprint would not be a best practice.
There is already an option to create new issues within not-started sprints from the backlog screen.
This doesn't include supporting automatically setting the Assignee. If you have clicked on an Assignee avatar first, the Assignee field will still be left blank in this case.
There is no configuration options that will let you change this functionality.
Hello!
Thanks again for your help. I found that the filter "My Issues" enables you to create a ticket where it defaults you to the assignee automatically. However if you click on your user it does not. Kinda strange but found a resolution!
Thanks,
