Is there an automated way to re-create the same issue for multiple projects in Jira Work Management?
I have created a task in one of my Projects, and i need to have an identical one for all my other projects (50+). is there any other way than manual creation?
Hello @Robert Varadi
With Automation for Jira there is a Clone action that would allow you to clone the issues into each project. You would have to have a Clone action for each project in which you want to make a copy of the issue. The same would be true if you used the Create Issue action.
Another option is to use the CSV Import function to create the new issue in each project. Your CSV Import file would have to have a row for each project in which the issue would be. Besides the issue data columns (i.e. issue type, summary) each row would need a column that specified the destination project. This sort of import can be done only by a Jira Administrator.

@Trudy Claspill thanks, the CSV option looks like the closest option here, however is still a lot of manual work.
i have 100s of ongoing projects, and when i need to create an identical task for all of them, i dont understand how is this not possible by default in Jira.

Hi @Robert Varadi , you can clone an issue (manually). An issue always belongs to a single project.
Have you tried automation with a manual trigger to create a task in all needed projects?

Hello @Dave Mathijs , clone is not a solution for me as i have the template task in one project, and i have to get it created in 50 other projects.
i checked automation too but the only thing i found is to create the issue in 1 single project, not all of them.
is there a way to create a filter or something to have this task created in all my projects?
