Create issue by email with Todo status

When I create an issue by email with email handler, it goes automatically in the backlog. I would like that the issue goes directly in the todo list. Is there a way to make new issue created by email so it goes directly in the todo list?

Hello Jonathan,

Welcome to the community.

When the issue is created, it will be given the status that is specified in the issue Workflow for creation of new issues. The only way to have it go straight to To Do without going through Backlog would be to change the workflow.

Alternately, you might be able to use the Automation For JIRA functionality to then transition it to another status. Here's a link to the documentation.
