Create issue for a software project from incoming mail of shared mail box

I am trying to setup auto issue creation for a software project in JIRA from e-mail.

For each mail received by a shared mail box, the software project in JIRA should get a user story created.

I went through the documentation for configuring IMAP server. Unlike the IMAP settings for a service desk, this one was missing e-mail address field

Is there any way I can configure the shared mail box with a separate username and password in JIRA IMAP settings.

did it get it right that you wanted to access that shared mailbox with your credetials (if your user has access to that mailbox)?

You may try the following, it seems not to work with all mailservers, but some

Username: yourLogin\nameOfSharedMailbox (or maybe yourDomain\yourLogin\nameOfSharedMailbox)

Password: yourPassword
