Create meta is deprecated in Jira API 8.4.3. Is it replaced by other APIs?

I'm using Jira 7.12.0 API but once we start using Jira version 8, I will likely need to switch to 8.4.3 API. Create issue meta is deprecated in 8.4.3 but there is two new APIs: "create issue meta project issue types" and "create issue meta fields". 

I'm wondering if these two APIs will essentially replace create issue meta. If that's the case, I believe we need more information on 8.4.3 documentation.
