Created two tickets, Now I want One ticket as Subtask for another ticket.

Madhu Mullangi January 29, 2019

Created two tickets in my Jira Software Project. CAP-1 &  CAP-2 with same issue type.

Now I want CAP-2 as a Subtask of CAP-1

Is it possible to change this for Bulk Issues through CSV Import. As I have 1000's of issues in My Jira.

Thanks in Advance

Madhu

Hello Madhu,

It is not possible to update the issue type of an issue to sub-tasks using the CSV export, however, you can do it by using the Bulk operation of JIRA and moving it to sub-tasks:

Additionally, if your sub-task issues should have different parents, you can perform the steps above (linking it to any parent issue) and then use the CSV import to change its Parent Id to a different issue.

Let me know if this option works for you.
