Creating Sub-tasks with Assignee from Multi-User Field

Hello,

During a workflow transition, I'd like to take the users from a multi-select user field and auto create sub-tasks with them as the user. For example:

Multi-select user field contains: Joe, Mary, and Jim

Upon workflow transition, 3 sub-tasks would be created. One assigned to Joe, one to Mary, and one to Jim. 

If there are more or less users, the sub-tasks would match with the appropriate assignee. 

I've automatically created sub-tasks with ScriptRunner based on custom field values in the past, but I've never done something like this. 

Any suggestions on how I can achieve this?
