Creating a task on the board

I have a team managed project. We need to create a task card on thу board. We don't have a + button on the board I don't know why. So every time we create a task we need to go to Backlog tab and manually pull the task we've just created from the bottom of Backlog to To do list on the top so that the task would finally appear on the board. Which is totally invonvenient. Are there any ways to make Jira put the created tasks on the board right away with no need to do all these Backlog manipulations?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

1. We examine your workflow to figure out why the Create Issue option is not available in the board column(s).

2. Create an Automation Rule to move newly created issues to the board automatically.
