Hello,
We currently use JIRA Server on a single instance of 10.000 licences for our company. For now, this instance is used with a unique model and every project created on this instance use this model.
We would like to open this instance more globally and propose other models. These models would be administered by project, so that each project could create objects in JIRA like issue types, statuses, workflows, custom fields and many others. All of this without impacting the other projects on the instance.
Would you say it is possible?
We look forward to your early response and your precious advice.
Yes, this is possible. Before answering the question I would like to use the term template instead of models for easier explanation for your requirement.
What needs to be done first is to create a new project in JIRA and configure the project with the respective Issue Types, Workflows and required schemes such as Issue Type Scheme, Permission Scheme, Workflow Scheme, Screen Scheme etc. Once that is done, you can save the project with the unique name you want to give for the project template. Now next time you create a new project you can use "Create with shared configuration " and use this same project for creating other projects that needs the same template.
All you need do is to first create all the different template projects in JIRA first and then use the Shared Configuration feature to replicate those project configurations for the new projects.

Hello Cherian,
Thank you for your answer. I know this feature of JIRA but the question is how to give possibility to project administrators to administrate their own project (create objects like issue types, statuses, workflows, custom fields and many others) without to give administrator global permission ?
