Cross-site authorization between two jira instances

I have 2 instances of jira, I want that when entering the first instance I do not have to enter the password and login on another instance (when redirecting), (AD authorization is common for all instances, so the login and password are the same)

Hi there,

Even if the user is logged in to one application that is connected to the same AD/LDAP, you will need to provide credentials to access other apps because JIRA or any other application does not share the user session with other applications.

As suggested above, you will need to implement a Single Sign-On in your environment. To enable Single Sign-On, you will need an SSO app for JIRA and one central application to authenticate and authorize users (an Identity and Access Management applications (IAM) application).

If you have Azure AD or ADFS, you can use it, or you can use the miniOrange IDP and connect it to your existing AD as a user directory and integrate it with JIRA and Confluence as a SAML/OAuth IDP.

You will find the multiple SAML/OAuth/OIDC SSO apps on Atlassian Marketplace but as an SSO vendor, we also provide the SAML and OAuth SSO apps for JIRA Server

All these products are available for a free trial.

Feel free to reach out to miniOrange Support for configuration assistance

Thanks,

Lokesh

PS: I work for miniOrange

You will need to use an app to provide Single Sign On (SSO).  Check the marketplace for SSO apps for Jira server that support your AD as the user directory (almost all of them support all the more common directory services).

I tend to pick up the one by Resolution first, but that's quite a limited experience to draw on, you should check out all the leaders to see how good a fit they are for your needs.
